Venus Star-Point Sound Meditation

The Venus Star-point is a spot in the zodiac that Venus makes when she  Retrogrades back and conjuncts the sun. It happens once every 584 days.  It takes 2922 days ( 8 years) to make the pentagram complete. On August 13, she completes the star point in Leo, the most potent time to feel what is real in us. Many of us, including me, Self Censor ourselves to fit in to the areas of social life that we belong to and we are not seen for who we truly are because we censor that part. In a Venus Star-point Retrograde in Leo it is a time to unleash our uniqueness and be who we are.

Vibrational sound frequencies from the gongs will help transmit Venus/Leo energy though our entire beings waking us up more to our feelings encouraging us to shine bright and own our personal Values.

There are omnipotent times when the portals open more, if we are aware, we will feel the pull to our own light and crystalize it more in us and be  more true to our beliefs. This is a great time for vibrational sound medicine.

We will learn about the Star-Point and its 8 year cycle, sit with a Venus  Meditation and then lay back and receive the love and guidance through  her energy as David blends the unique healing sounds of Gongs, Crystal bowls and many other instruments, creating a shamanic-like sound  experience.

What is "Sound Healing"? I have found it to be a blend of non-rhythmic overtones of a large range of frequencies. The sound current is heard and felt from inside you as it permeates your cells. The sound helps clear and restore your physical and energetic fields.

 What do we do during a sound healing? Just lay down or sit and meditate on the sounds. Let them take you on a  journey into your own being. A time to relax into yourself. Its a right brain, passive experience lasts one hour. Afterwards, we can share experiences, share some tea or close, whatever the vibe is. The space is at the Inner Wolf Retreat Space in Wolf Laurel, north of Mars Hill, about 30 min North of Asheville on 6 acres of natural land with a creek and ponds. You are welcome to come early and stay a while on the land. Blankets, pads and pillows are provided and you and bring your own as well. This 2Pm Sunday event is a offering to the community and to connect with other travelers and has no set cost. Some sort of exchange feels good. Donations are accepted gratefully. WHAT TO EXPECT & POLICIES

Here are the basics: PLEASE ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 2PM--come up to 15 minutes early to not be stressed and have time to find the place if this is your first time here and to settle in. This is an experience to which you cannot be late....(if you are late, then the whole group is waiting on you to arrive; it is disruptive for anyone to enter the sound healing room after we have built the container of who is present and we share intentions. Please be respectful of your fellow earth travelers who have arrived on time. Plus, who wants to be stressed out about arriving late to a RELAXING experience?! :) ) Once the doors are locked, unfortunately you will miss out. Please communicate with us if something happens. Allow time for travel, you can arrive early to walk the peaceful property, and enjoy a cup of tea. At 2pm we enter the sound room, get comfy with pillows, blankets, and supports, and then share intentions for the session. At 2:30, the sound healing session begins and lasts for 60 glorious minutes. The last half hour allows us time to integrate, awaken to a life post-gong, and to be ok to "gong and drive" (unless you'd like to stay overnight in one of the rentals!)
